FAQs

+ How do I know when to seek professional help?

If you are breathing right now, therapy is a good idea. We are living through a global pandemic, have had political and racial unrest, lots of family and social divides, and many of us have drastically altered what is normal.

If you are:

  • feeling stuck in your habits and/or relationships with others; or
  • dissatisfied with your life, and can’t quite figure it out; or
  • can’t seem to make the changes you want,

then therapy could be a practice that can help you optimize your potential.

If you have past life events that still negatively impact your life, and you’d like to move through them and grow out from them.

If your basic functioning is being impacted by your mental health and you notice significant changes in your sleep, eating, and decreased ability to do the regular daily tasks of your life.

+ How do I inquire about an appointment?

To inquire about an appointment with me, first click on the "Let's Chat" button above and enter the requested information.

After you share your information and inquiry, I’ll be in touch regarding potential appointments if I think we might be a good fit. If I’m not currently accepting new clients or if I think you’d be served better elsewhere, then I’ll help point you in the right direction and send you a few referrals to get you started.

Please note that at this time all sessions are remote via telehealth. I may return to in-person sessions in some capacity, but that is to be determined in the future. Prior to your session, I will send you a personal session invitation that you can use to access the session.

+ What needs to happen before an initial session?

If we end up scheduling a date for an initial session, I will send you a link to my client portal where you will be asked to upload your driver’s license, insurance information (if applicable), and your preferred form of payment. You will also need to complete and return all requested intake e-paperwork. Please complete these items at least 48 hours before your initial session in order to give me sufficient time to review.

+ How do your fees work?

A majority of my clients pay out of pocket for therapy. However, I do take a few select insurances. If you are hoping to use insurance, then please be sure to share your provider information with me in your inquiry form response.

+ What if you don’t take my insurance?

Some insurances companies may offer out-of-network coverage, so you will need to check your plan to see if you qualify. If you do, you can request a superbill (a receipt for insurance reimbursement) from me, which you can then use to send into your provider to see if they will reimburse you for out-of-network coverage.
